In a ceremonial ribbon cutting event on Thursday, June 7th, ABRA Gallery opened its doors to the public to showcase the works of the most celebrated artists of our time including such artists as Hessam Abrishami, a Westlake Village resident, and Aldo Luongo.

Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks have been void of a high-end art gallery for far too long making the timing of this new addition to the arts community a welcomed sight. Construction for the new gallery began earlier this year when the owners of Studio Fine Art, a long standing and successful production studio, realized the need in the region and decided to utilize space occupied by offices to create the 1,000 square foot gallery.

The ribbon cutting ceremony was hosted by the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and attended by Chamber staff and Ambassadors along with guests and staff from ABRA Gallery. Following the official cutting of the ribbon to the gallery, the guests and staff toasted to the anticipated success of the regions new fine art gallery.

ABRA Gallery will host its Grand Opening Exhibition on July 23rd with selections from six world renowned artists, including Hessam Abrishami, whose work has been described as “taking the onlooker into a world of suggestion and mystical beauty where everything is alive with a sense of everlasting motion.” Along with Abrishami and Luongo, other artists showcased are Leonard Wren, Goli Mahallati, Maemar, and Parviz Payghamy

The Grand Opening Exhibition is free and open to the public from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This premier exhibition will extend through August 7th. For those not able to make the grand opening, the gallery is open daily to the public from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or by appointment. They are located at 30941 Agoura Rd, Suite 110 in Westlake Village between Lindero Canyon Rd. and Reyes Adobe Rd.
