San Diego County Lightning Fires (San Diego County) Started 9/30/2011, updated 10/01/2011

CAL FIRE responded to several lightning caused fires in the backcountry of San Diego County.

The Chihuahua Fire, off of Chihuahua Valley Road near the community of Sunshine Summit, is now 100% contained at 40 acres. There are no structures threatened. Full containment of the fire is expected later today. The fire was reported at 4:22 p.m.

The Border Fire, off of Tierra Real Lane near the community of Boulevard, was 100% contained at 15 acres on Friday. The fire was originally reported at 4:24 p.m.

The Cain Fire, north of the Manzanita Indian Reservation was 100% contained at 1 acre on Friday. There were no structures threatened and the fire was reported at 2:33 p.m.

The Lucky Fire, off of Sunrise Highway in Mt. Laguna was 100% contained at 1/4 acre Friday. There were no structures threatened and the fire was reported at 3:02 p.m.
