West Suburban Artists Guild to hold Member Show Reception at Triton College, Oct. 16 at 7pm to 9:30pm

Presents their 81st Annual Fall Exhibit (9/28 – 10/16)
Reception Friday 10/16 7:00pm – 9:30pm


The artwork of dozens of accomplished local artists will be on display at the Triton College Art Gallery (rm. 107, Fine Arts Building J,) from Monday, 9/28 through Friday, 10/16 for the 81st Annual Member Exhibit of the West Suburban Artists Guild. The theme is “Into the Light.” An artists’ reception and awards presentation will take place on Friday, October 17th from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m., and is free and open to the public.
Free parking is available at the North Entrance parking lot (near the Cernan Space Center) on Fifth Avenue. Gallery Hours are Mon & Wed 10:15am – noon; Tues & Thur 10:45am -12:30pm and 1:45pm - 3:30pm, and Fri 9AM- 1:30pm
The exhibit features artwork in several different medias including painting, drawing, mixed media, clay & jewelry. At the reception, Judge Sharron Ott will hand out awards to the works she has chosen while sharing her opinions and thoughts about each piece. Ms. Ott has a BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago. She works as a painter, muralist, scenic artist, interior designer, set designer and teacher. Refreshments will be provided along with musical entertainment by the group “Ringshout,” featuring guitarist George Bailey and percussionist Carl Spight.

WSAG is a non-profit organization established in Chicago’s west suburban area in 1928 to further the appreciation and support of the arts.
