MobilityWorks Donates Use of Mobility Vans for 2010 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival

Ohio, 07. Aug 10 00:59 PST

Akron, OH (1888PressRelease) - MobilityWorks Donates Use of Mobility Vans for 2010 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival.

Current and former professional football players and fans of all ages will descend on Canton Ohio this weekend to join thousands of others in honoring the 2010 inductees to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Among the many football stars of past decades are those who have lost their mobility or can only walk a very short distance. So when the Hall of Fame contacted MobilityWorks once again to provide the use of its handicap vans to assist with transporting these former stars, they were more than happy to oblige. "We're big football fans at MobilityWorks and these guys are true legends. It's an honor to be part of the ceremonies every year " said Brian Austin, MobilityWorks General Manager.

The wheelchair accessible minivans will be used to transport Hall of Fame dignitaries in wheelchairs (or that use mobility scooters) to and from the airport, hotels and to dozens of various weekend festivities. Experienced volunteer drivers and the vans are scheduled through the Hall of Fame committee assigned to provide transportation.

Headquartered in Akron 20 miles north of the Hall of Fame, MobilityWorks has donated its vans for the enshrinement festival since 2003. Their Akron-Cleveland showroom has dozens of new and pre-owned accessible vans for sale along with other adaptive equipment that helps people be more independent. MobilityWorks also provides wheelchair vans for rent to the public with daily and weekly rates.
